All children are musical.
All children can achieve basic music competence, defined as audiation, expressing meter with rhythmically accurate movements and tonality by singing in tune. This growth is best achieved in a playful environment which is developmentally appropriate, and non -performance oriented, which is musically rich! We all know that children learn through play.
Participation and modeling by the parents and caregivers is essential to a child's musical growth. Even if you don't sing too well, you are your child's most important teacher. The research shows that it doesn't matter if you can sing, only that your child is provided a musical environment that will grow his or her music aptitude. Music Together will do that , providing great "ear food" every week for your child.
Experience Music Together and find out how important--and how fun--your role can be! Then bring the music home each week with our anthology and CDs and play with your child all week long until we meet again.
